This is a useful product, provided you understand what it does. It relaxes; it doesn’t numb—and that’s a good thing: a product that completely eliminated sensation would be dangerous, since pain is precisely the signal telling you to stop. The formula works within a few minutes, the spray format dispenses a consistent dose, and its unisex nature is a plus. In practice, I find that a good, thick anal lubricant often makes more difference than the relaxant itself: the spray is an addition, not the main product. The limitations: external use only, a skin test beforehand is essential, and there’s one instruction I repeat to every customer—if it hurts, stop; don’t try to compensate with a product.
