Between us, fur-lined handcuffs are often the very first bondage accessory a couple buys, and this red model from Diablo Picante suits that role well: the plush lining prevents the discomfort of bare metal against the skin, while the carabiner replaces the key you might otherwise be searching for everywhere at the worst possible moment. Diablo Picante also designs this type of accessory as a cheeky gift for a bachelorette or bachelor party, but I primarily recommend it for intimate use between consenting partners.
Metal and fur: what these handcuffs are made of
The structure is made of metal and lined with red faux fur on the side that comes into contact with the skin. The supplier does not specify the type of alloy used for the metal, so I am deliberately keeping this point general rather than making up a figure. The whole set weighs approximately 60 g and measures a compact 18.5 x 8 x 2 cm.
The carabiner: a keyless fastener
Unlike traditional key-lock handcuffs, this model opens and closes with a carabiner: you adjust the chain length and release your partner in one motion, without ever having to search for a misplaced key under the bed. This is something I particularly appreciate for relaxed use, especially when starting out.
Safety, blood circulation, and care
Before using them, agree with your partner on a safeword and on how long their wrists will remain restrained. Make sure you can slide a finger between the metal and the skin: if you cannot, loosen them immediately so as not to restrict blood circulation. Never leave a restrained person alone in the room, even for a few minutes. For care, simply wipe the metal with a slightly damp cloth; avoid soaking the faux fur with water and let it air-dry.
Who these handcuffs are suitable for (and their limitations)
These handcuffs are suitable if you want a lightweight, comfortable first restraint accessory with no key to manage. If you are looking for a sturdier model for more intense or longer bondage sessions, I recommend my more technical handcuffs and restraint accessories.
