Description
The Macho CMV004 sports T-shirt keeps things simple with black, the easiest color to pair with any leggings, shorts, or joggers already in your wardrobe. The stretchy fabric closely follows the torso without ever pulling at the shoulders, and it dries quickly once your workout is over. It's the kind of basic piece you can wear just as easily at the gym as outside, without clashing with the rest of your outfit. Many of my customers keep several, precisely because black is easy to replace from one season to the next.
Fabric and construction
The supplier describes a polyamide fabric, appreciated for its lightness, stretch, and ability to dry quickly after absorbing sweat. It's designed for repeated sports use and retains its elasticity even after several washes close together. It works just as well for a cardio session as for a more static strength workout.
Fit and comfort
The fitted cut defines the torso without compressing it, with enough stretch to follow the movements of a typical workout. This model is available in S/M and L/XL, two sizes that accommodate fairly different builds. Black also has the advantage of hiding signs of exertion better than a lighter color.
Care
The supplier does not specify a washing temperature for this model. A standard machine wash is suitable for this type of black synthetic fabric; avoid bleach, which would dull the color faster than a regular wash. Air-drying is still preferable to using a tumble dryer at full power.
Who it's for, and who it's not for
Who it's for: if you want a neutral sports T-shirt that's easy to wear with all your other pieces, in S/M or L/XL. It belongs in the men's T-shirt collection.
Who it's not for: if you're specifically looking for a color that stands out, take a look at the blue, yellow, or orange colors in the same CMV range, or at men's lingerie for other styles. The burgundy shade in the CMV003 range is still a good middle-ground option if you want to move away from black without going as far as orange or yellow.
Friend's tip — I recommend always keeping a spare black one in your gym bag; it's the color that goes with absolutely everything.
