My rating: (4.0/5)

Without making it a star product, I think it has its place here for one very simple reason: my customers regularly tell me they’re looking for replacement batteries for their connected accessories or everyday gadgets. Maxell is a brand I’ve seen in stores for years—reliable, no surprises, with stable voltage and predictable battery life. With this model, I rely on the brand’s reputation and feedback from customers who reuse them. Nothing spectacular, but that’s exactly what you expect from a battery: to quietly do its job. The 5-pack offers good value for money, which makes it worth keeping in stock.

Who is it for?

Who it’s for: Anyone with connected accessories (wireless vibrators, smart remotes), electronic key fobs, digital watches, or small everyday devices that require a CR1616. Who it’s not for: If you’re looking for rechargeable batteries or long-term solutions for high-consumption devices, check out our rechargeable accessories or higher-capacity batteries instead.

Why I selected it for the shop

I keep it in the catalog because it’s useful in very practical situations. How many times has a customer told me that the remote control for her wireless vibrator had died, or that her connected keychain was no longer responding? These small CR1616 batteries are everywhere in compact accessories. Maxell guarantees reliable manufacturing, and the 5-pack lets everyone keep a spare supply at home without paying extra. It’s a useful complementary accessory that strengthens customers’ trust in the boutique.

In summary: Pack of 5 Maxell CR1616 3V lithium batteries. Compact format, ideal for car remote controls, key fobs, watches, and small electronic accessories. Reliable, long-lasting lithium technology.

CR1616 batteries are essential when you need to power small everyday devices. Between us, they’re the kind of product you forget to keep on hand until the day your car remote refuses to work. Maxell offers a pack of 5 units here, allowing you to keep replacements within reach without breaking the bank.

Technical specifications of the CR1616 battery

The CR1616 is a 3-volt lithium coin battery. The Maxell MXBCR16165 model I offer provides stable voltage and reliable battery life for low-power devices. Its ultra-compact format (16 mm in diameter, 1.6 mm thick) makes it suitable for very tight spaces, which explains its use in key fobs, calculators, and wristwatches. I consider this battery a solid choice for this type of use.

Common uses and compatibility

You’ll find these batteries in a variety of devices: car key fobs (Honda, Lexus, and other brands), blood glucose meters, heart rate monitors, electronic toys, backup computer equipment, and digital watches. Honestly, this is an accessory that is often underestimated, but it makes all the difference when you need to get a device running again. The pack of 5 units means you’ll never be caught short.

Why Maxell is in the catalog

Maxell has been a recognized brand in the battery industry for decades. I stock them because they regularly help my customers looking for reliable replacements for their connected intimate accessories (battery-powered vibrators, wireless remote controls, etc.) or everyday devices. The manufacturing quality is consistent, and the price remains reasonable for a pack of 5.

Alicia's tip for this product

The secret to using it correctly comes down to two things: first, check that your device requires a CR1616 (this is stated in the manual or on the battery compartment); then, make sure you insert the battery the right way around, respecting the polarity (+ facing up in most cases). Maxell lithium batteries offer consistent battery life, so you shouldn’t experience any gradual drop in performance. If you’re storing spare batteries, keep them in a dry, moderate-temperature place to preserve their effectiveness.

Safety

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and care.
Do not use on irritated or injured skin, or if discomfort persists.
Do not share the product without cleaning it first.

Warning

Stop using the product if you experience pain, irritation or a malfunction.
Keep out of reach of children.

Adults only (18+)

The CR1616 is thinner (1.6 mm) and smaller in diameter (16 mm) than the CR2032. It is intended for small, very compact devices such as key fobs and watches. The CR2032 is thicker and suitable for larger devices.

Battery life depends on the device and its energy consumption. For a car key fob or a watch, you can expect it to last from several months to a few years. Check your device’s manual for an accurate estimate.

No, Maxell CR1616 lithium batteries are disposable (non-rechargeable). Once depleted, they must be replaced. Recycle them properly at a suitable collection point.

Yes, if your vibrator is designed to use a CR1616 battery (check the product documentation). These batteries are commonly used in small connected accessories.

Yes, buying a pack of 5 costs less per unit than buying the batteries individually. It’s ideal for keeping a supply at home and avoiding stock shortages when you need them urgently.

Maxell is a long-established Japanese brand in audio and storage, and it also makes reliable batteries. For non-rechargeable intimate accessories, it provides the essentials: steady, long-lasting power, without surprises.
