My Review

A
10 ans d'expérience en retail intime
What ten years in the lingerie department have taught me is that a customer who wouldn’t dare choose a piece in black will often be tempted by the same cut in white, as though the color alone made the piece feel more psychologically approachable. That’s exactly what I’m seeing with this model: the construction is identical to the black version, but the reception is different—softer and less suggestive. The fine knit remains pleasant to the touch, and the fit follows the body without constricting, making it comfortable even when worn for a long time. I’ll be frank about one point: white knitwear is considerably more demanding to care for than black—ideally, wash it within a few hours of wearing it and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, or it may turn yellow. This piece won’t tolerate being neglected at the back of a drawer, mixed in with other colored textiles. If you’re willing to accept that constraint, you get a subtle yet genuine variation on a tried-and-tested cut, with a maintenance cost that remains reasonable given the result.
Pour qui ?
Who it's for: those who already have a black mesh bodysuit and want to switch to a brighter shade without changing the level of detail or the cut.

Who it's not for: if the idea of taking extra care of white puts you off, or if you prefer a clearly visible decorative pattern, my other designs from the mesh bodysuit collection will better suit that preference.
Pourquoi je l'ai sélectionné pour la boutique
I keep it alongside the black version because it offers exactly the same simple cut, in a shade that changes the overall impression of the piece: brighter and visually less striking than black. It’s an alternative for anyone who already has a dark basic and wants some variety without switching to a patterned or lace-up cut. The construction doesn’t change from one shade to the other: the same fine mesh, the same body-hugging fit, and the same open crotch. One honest point to keep in mind: white fine mesh requires more careful care than black, with a risk of yellowing if you store it improperly or expose it to too much sunlight.

Description

In summary: The white version of the fine-mesh bodystocking: the same clean lines and open crotch, made from 80% polyamide/20% elastane. A precise fit and stretchy fabric that allows genuine freedom of movement.

The same construction as the black version, but in a white shade that completely softens the look: the fine mesh remains discreet, with no pattern or lacing, just clean lines that follow the body without constricting it. It's a good option if you want a simple base, but not necessarily in black—for example, to vary your outfits without changing the cut or level of detail from one piece to another.

Fine mesh and minimalist cut

Identical composition to the black version: 80% polyamide, 20% elastane. The mesh remains fine, with no added pattern, and a precise fit that follows the silhouette from top to bottom. In white, the result looks a little softer and less graphic than in black, but the construction and fabric performance remain exactly the same, including the way the mesh follows the body without constricting it.

Open crotch and freedom of movement

The stretchy fabric provides genuine freedom of movement, while the open crotch allows for quick dressing without having to remove the entire piece. No additional decorative or technical details have been added to this intentionally simple base, designed to be worn on its own or underneath a dressier outfit, with no pattern or lacing to coordinate with the rest of your look.

Care to keep the white bright

Hand-wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. Avoid any contact with colored fabric that could bleed during drying, and choose a place away from direct sunlight so the white does not yellow prematurely. Store it flat rather than crumpled in a drawer to minimize marks on the mesh.

White version: who is it for?

This white version is for you if you want the same simplicity as the black model, in a lighter, softer-looking shade. If, on the other hand, you're looking for a floral pattern or visible lacing on the front, or wider straps than a set of thin shoulder straps, head to my other styles in my fishnet bodystocking collection.

A tip from a friend — Store it flat rather than crumpled in a drawer. White mesh shows creases less than black, but it will still retain a mark if you leave it compressed for too long.

Le conseil d'Alicia pour ce produit

Run your clean hands, without rings or bracelets, along it before gradually sliding it over your body—the white reveals even the slightest pulled thread much more than black. It has just one suitable washing method: by hand, in cold water, never in a washing machine, and away from any colored laundry that could bleed while it is still damp. Then leave it flat to dry, out of direct sunlight: prolonged exposure will yellow the white fibers over time, something black never shows. When storing it, keep it spread out rather than crumpled at the back of a drawer, so the knit retains no unsightly creases. My practical advice: save this piece for special occasions rather than repeated use, as white knitwear requires more long-term care than classic black.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference compared with the black version?

No difference in cut, only in color: the same fine knit, the same open crotch, and the same composition.

Does white reveal your silhouette more than black?

The transparency is comparable, but it looks different on a light shade: choose according to the effect you’re after.

How do I care for it so it doesn’t turn yellow?

Hand wash in cold water, dry flat away from direct sunlight and colored fabrics that could bleed onto it.

Is it suitable as a first bodystocking?

Yes, it’s a simple base without any particular technical details, so it’s fairly easy to get the hang of for a first time.
