Description
Protection during oral sex is rarely discussed, yet it matters. A dental dam is made exactly for this purpose: a thin sheet of latex that acts as a barrier between the mouth and intimate areas. I think it's important to make it accessible and talk about it simply.
A fine latex dental dam
It's a thin, silky latex sheet, approximately 25 x 15 cm, that you place between the mouth and the vulva or anus. Its thinness preserves sensation while providing a barrier. It can be used for both cunnilingus and anilingus.
A barrier for oral sex
During unprotected oral-genital sex, certain infections can be transmitted. When used correctly, the dam helps reduce this risk, making it an important preventive measure. In my opinion, it's an accessory that is far too little known. My clients often tell me they didn't even know such protection existed.
Tips for using a dental dam
Use a new dental dam each time, on one side only, and apply a water-based lubricant to the skin side for comfort. Avoid using it if you have a latex allergy. To complete your protection, check out our condoms and our intimate health selection.
