Details and highlights
My review
Who it’s not for: if you’re pregnant, taking antidepressants, or have kidney failure, talk to your doctor before trying anything new. If you’re looking for energy rather than relaxation, WUG On or WUG Power Up meet the opposite need within the same range.
Description
I recommend WUG off from my selection of food supplements for women for evenings when stress creeps in or falling asleep takes time. Its formula combines valerian, L-tryptophan, lemon balm and melatonin in a pack of 8 sugar-free gummies with a liquorice flavour. I like this format for its simplicity: no herbal tea to prepare, no tablet to swallow, just a gummy to chew slowly before settling down.
What the gummy contains
For one gummy (recommended daily dose), the formula provides:
- Valerian: 60 mg
- L-Tryptophan: 30 mg
- Lemon balm: 15 mg
- Melatonin: 1 mg
What the manufacturer highlights
I am not promising a miracle: WUG off is not a sleeping pill. The manufacturer presents it as support during moments of stress or before bedtime, with ingredients traditionally associated with relaxation, such as valerian and lemon balm, and melatonin, commonly associated with falling asleep. These are wellness guidelines, not a guarantee of results: your sleep environment and evening routine matter at least as much as the gummy itself.
Directions for use
The manufacturer recommends chewing the gummy for at least 10 minutes, with a maximum of one gummy per day, before bedtime or in case of stress. The product contains polyols, excessive consumption of which may have a laxative effect. It is not recommended for pregnant women, people taking antidepressants or those with kidney failure; the manufacturer indicates that it is suitable from the age of 7, while keeping it out of the reach of young children. I am not a doctor: if you are currently undergoing treatment or have any health concerns, ask your healthcare professional for advice before use.
Who it is for—and who it is not for
I recommend it if you are looking for a small relaxation ritual before bed or during a passing moment of stress, as a complement to an established evening routine. It is not for you if you are pregnant, taking antidepressants, or have kidney failure—in these cases, speak to your doctor before trying anything new. If you are looking for energy instead, WUG on or WUG Power Up meet the opposite need.
A friend’s advice — Pair this gummy with a proper evening routine, with dimmed lights and screens switched off; it does not work alone.
